Rewarded Review

I'm 45 and I'm pretty happy with my skin, my only real concern is dehydration - my skin is super thirsty. This is beautifully hydrating rich cream which is exactly what I was looking for. The melatonin is a lovely touch for a night cream and, as I usually use a good amount of moisturiser for maximum hydration over night, I definitely felt it kick in about 20-30mins after applying and I feel like I fell asleep quicker on the nights I used this moisturiser. I stayed the course with this product and used it all up before deciding on my verdict: It's beautifully moisturising, soaks into the skin well and leave it feeling truly hydrated. The melatonin is a great idea for a night cream but I wish there was a day cream with the same rich formula without it. I've tried the Acure Ultra-Hydrating 12-Hour moisturiser as a companion and was surprisingly disappointed. It's nothing like as good as this and pills horribly on the skin. This Overnight Dream Cream leaves my skin feeling hydrated, even-toned, and smooth when I wake, with no noticeable irritation. I also love that it's relatively clean and scent-free. I won't be buying it again. Applying in amounts that felt like I got optimal hydration each night I went through the tub in about 5 weeks which, to me, is way too fast for the price. The previous tub of Keys Rich Transformation Cream I was using prior to this (also 50ml) took me about 4 months to go through. So, even though the sizes are the same they amount needs to achieve optimal hydration from the Acure cream is a lot more. PS. All you crazy cats who have said in your reviews that you've been using this cream in the daytime - please check yo'selves before you wreck yo'selves :/ Melatonin is a hormone produced by the body at sundown that regulated very important circadian rhythms that allow us to sleep well at night, and consequently wake up refreshed at alert. Do not take (or apply) a product with melatonin in the morning unless you want to seriously mess with your circadian rhythms! I saw people writing that they were doing this, so I thought "ok, the melatonin listed in the ingredients must be a minuscule inconsequential amount." So I tried it ONCE, and had the most unfocussed, unproductive unshakably sleepy day (I wouldn't have wanted to be driving anywhere!). So the melatonin ingredient is obviously not inconsequential. So just, y'know don't be crazy - find another daytime moisturiser until Acure makes a day version without the melatonin.
